Welcome to Life Music Academy! We believe that no matter what your age, how young or old or in between you may be, music is to be explored and loved and life is to be celebrated.

Our range of classes and lessons cater to all age groups and levels. From newborn to preschool, elementary kids to adults, we have great, educational programs designed to make you and your child fall more in love with music.

about us

Life Music Academy launched in 2009 and is an exciting, new institution in Northern VA for people of all ages to further their interest and abilities in music. Founded by The Life Church* in Manassas, Virginia, it is a safe, family-friendly environment and open to everyone with a passion to learn and grow.

We have grown since our hunble beginnings and have been honored to watch so many of students of our students grow in ability, confidence and friendships with each other. We believe that music unites and cross borders that otherwise would remain undiscovered.

when: wednesdays 10 - 10:30am (30 minute class)

cost: $79 / 8 week session

Children are never too young to start enjoying the beauty of music. These 45 minute classes are full of singing, actions, movement, imagining, creating and playing instruments. We will start to learn rhythms, responses and how to interact with music at each age level. Friends are made and we are growing every week as we learn. This is a a wonderful musical experience and a special time in the week between parent and child!

Our private lessons are open year-round to new students and are tailored specifically to the individual student’s style, age and level of competency. Whether you’re a professional looking to go to the next level or just wanting to learn the basics, these lessons are a great opportunity to get the personal advice you’re looking for.

Our Elementary Kids class is full of fun and learning! We cover all different elements of music by singing, studying different styles of music, listening, theory basics, playing instruments and expression through music. This is a great class for school students looking to extend their musical ability and confidence, and perfect for homeschool students wanting to incorporate musical education into their program. This class also learns and works on a song each session to perform at our Performance Nights.

Tiny Tots dance class is a creative dance program for boys and girls aged 3-6.

Our program is designed to:

- teach the foundations of various dance disciplines

- promote physical strength, flexibility, and coordination

- encourage creativity

- build self-confidence and healthy social interaction

provide a FUN time!

While the primary purpose of Happy Feet is to teach dance, we firmly believe in providing your child with tools he or she can use for life.

beginners & intermediates

ages: 5 years to 12 years (beginners)

when: thursdays 5-5:45pm (30 minute class)

cost: $79 / 8 week session

next session dates:

winter session: february 9 - march 29

spring session: april 19- june 7.

*students may join class at any point in semester.

tutor: mr jon cresswell

Come along and learn the basics of guitar in our beginners class. Classes are weekly, 30 minute sessions and will cover all the basic know-how you'll need to begin playing your favorite music!

Once students have completed 2 sessions of beginners class, they are eligible to move up to the intermediate class, (at the discretion of the tutor and parents).

vocal ensemble

for teens & adults

ages: 13 years and up

when: thursdays (class time tbc - 30 minute class)

cost: $250 / 16 week session (can be paid upfront or in 2 payments)

next session dates: february 9 - june 7.

*mid-semester break week and thanksgiving break also included in these dates (see calendar for all dates).

**students may join class at any point in semester.

tutor: miss michelle fragar

This class is for all teens and adults looking for somewhere to learn and sing with others in a positive, educational environment. Learn how to blend with others, sing harmonies and gain confidence as a singer, both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble. This class also provides an opportunity to perform in our Performance Nights.
